In March 2024, we took an important step towards industrial piloting and commercialization by completing our first 2.5″ x 14″ (2514) prototype in collaboration with the Separation Technologies Applied Research and Translation (START) Centre in Singapore featuring SideStroem’s proprietary nano-selective forward osmosis technology.
After extensive in-house testing and optimization, the prototype element will undergo its first application tests by confirmed partners during Q1 2025.
In the following we summarize SideStroem’s main achievements in 2024.
Technology Development
- Successfully scaled from lab to industrial scale roll-to-roll manufacturing in collaboration with START
- Established optimal operational conditions and settings for our 2514 prototype element in preparation for external testing
Commercial Development
- Secured multiple industrial test partner in India targeting treatment of industrial wastewater from the textile industry as well as dye related process applications.
- Shortlisted and initiated commercial discussions with membrane manufacturers in India.
- Rebranding of SideStroem, including a new website.
Conferences
- June 2024: Dedicated booth at Singapore International Water Week
